Rare World War II "Saved for America" Sterling Bailout Pin from J.G. Menihan Chute Co. Type II

This is a WWII era pin made for a member of the United States Armed Forces who made an emergency parachute jump and who was "Saved for America" by a J.G. Menihan Chute. The pin is rectangular and shows a parachutist jumping past rays of sun and a single star on red, white and blue enamel. Type II, with "J.G. Menihan Chute" company name on reverse. This "e;Bail Out"e; pin is akin to those given by the Caterpillar Club.

Circa World War II.

About 1-1/16" in height and 1/2" in width.

Sterling silver with red, white and blue enamel.

Vertical pin with drop-in swivel catch.
