Description
This is a WWII era pin made for a member of the United States Armed Forces who made an emergency parachute jump and who was "Saved for America" by a J.G. Menihan Chute. The pin is rectangular and shows a parachutist jumping past a single star on red, white and blue enamel. Type II, with "J.G. Menihan Chute" company name on reverse. This "e;Bail Out"e; pin is akin to those given by the Caterpillar Club.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with red, white and blue enamel. Velvet lined, cardboard case with snap closure.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in swivel catch.

CONDITION:8+ (Excellent): Case shows areas of aging, storage wear. Pin shows minor wear, little to no tarnish, enamel fully intact.
