ARTIFACT: Rare WWII German-Made Croatian Legion Badge in silvered and polished zinc with lacquered details. The badge is in the form of a Linden Leaf, many evacuated men from Stalingrad were used to from the Croatian volunteer units. Worn on the right uniform pocket. This badge was awarded to all members of the Croatian legionary units (Navy, Army, Air Force), most were involved in the battles on the Eastern Front, in Russia, most notably 369th.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: 1 9/16" x 2"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver, zinc, and paint.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical T-style pin with "C" catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a small Croatian militaria collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MGEX12 LEGEX10/14 SCEJX9/18

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): Badge shows wear, areas of tarnish/oxidation, and all of the painted details remain.
