Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a Nazi German Wehrmacht and SS Infantry Assault Badge (Infanterie Sturmabzeichen), silver grade. The badge was awarded to infantry members who satisfied certain combat criteria. The badge is in zinc without any finish. It shows a eagle clutching a swastika above a rifle wreathed in oak leaves.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-7/16" in height and 1-13/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Zinc with brass findings.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical T-style kick pin with C catch.

MARKINGS:

None.
