Description
A beautiful early war Model 1939 Wound Badge in Silver Grade in the rarely-seen case of issue in a subdued but correct color of scarlet red. This example made even more rare by being manufactured in Austria! No maker marks on the badge, but a lovely little blue & white label is still intact on the bottom of the case reading: HAUPTMUNZAMT WEIN III. The badge is an early war example in heavy silver-plated tombak, and it has a lovely soft patina.
