ARTIFACT:

Excellent example of a WWII Croatian-Made Croatian Legion Badge in aluminum with lacquered details. The badge is in the form of a Linden Leaf, many evacuated men form Stalingrad were used to from the Croatian volunteer units. Worn on the right uniform pocket. This badge was awarded to all members of the Croatian legionary units (Navy, Army, Air Force), most were involved in the battles on the Eastern Front, in Russia, most notably 369th. Unmarked, although made by Zagreb's makers "B. Knaus" and "ME-BA".

Aluminum and paint.

9- (Excellent+): Badge shows very little wear, aluminum has a nice patina and most all of the painted details remain.
