Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a rare World War I Service medal presented by the Boston, Massachusetts Postal Service. The medal has a bar reading FOR SERVICE from which hangs a red, white and blue striped ribbon and a medallion reading VICTORY.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War I.

SIZE:

Approximately 3-1/8" in height and 1-5/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Brass, bronze, silk.

ATTACHMENT:

Ribbon, suspension ring, horizontal pin on bar with tongue-style catch.

MARKINGS:

None.

ITEM NOTES:

This is from a World War I service medal collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAEM14 LAEJX3/14 SABEX3/16

CONDITION:

7 (Very Fine): The medal has some small spots of light to medium wear/tarnish and there is a small stain on the front of the ribbon.
