This is a Rare WWI Belgian Postal Worker Service Medal in Unmarked Silver. The front shows the profile of a woman and reads PAX (peace); the reverse reads: LES POSTIERS NON-SIGNATAIRES FIDELES A LEUR SERMENT 1914-1918 (The non-signatory postal workers loyal to their oath). It has a J. Witterwulche mark.
VINTAGE:Circa post-1918.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16 in width by 1-1/2" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver.
ATTACHMENT:Suspension loop.
MARKINGS:J. WITTERWULCHE.
