ARTIFACT: This is a seldom-offered opportunity to own a biographical Boston Radiator Badge! Boston Police Radiator Badges turn up from time to time, but RARELY do they turn up with biographical information, directly from the family! Recently purchased from his Great-great-great nephew, offered here for the first time ever are the Original Boston Police Radiator Badge, Portrait Photo, and Boston Police Relief Association (a Fraternal Benefit Organization for Boston Police Officers and their families founded in 1871) Dues Receipt of early 20th Century Boston Police Officer Arthur R. Taber. The badge is in an amazingly thin stamped nickel (note factory reinforcement at hinge to keep pressure from cracking the badge!). Taber's Great-Great-Great Nephew's contact info will be given to the buyer, but he has no other artifacts of his uncle's.

VINTAGE: Circa early 20th century.

SIZE: Badge: approximately 2-7/16" in height by 2-3/8" in width; photograph: 5-1/8" by 3-9/16"; receipt: 8" by 3-7/16”.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Badge: thin stamped nickel; paper; photograph. ATTACHMENTS: Badge: vertical kick pin with tongue-style catch.

MARKINGS: Receipt is dated January 23, 1914.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an early 20th century named Boston Police grouping collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Ebay MGJJX13 LACIEX1/14 SAAIJX8/14
