Rare 1870s Boston, Massachusetts Police Officer CDV Photo Showing Hat Badge #237

This is a circa 1870s CDV (carte de visite) photograph of a Boston, Massachusetts police officer. The officer's hat badge number 237 shows up quite well in the photo. The CDV was a small photograph patented by French photographer André Disdéri. CDVs were fashionable from the mid-1850s until into the 1870s.
