ARTIFACT: Rare circa 1920 Boston Police Patrolman badge in the "clamshell" or "sunburst" radiator style. The reverse shows 1st numbering "serifed" style and large heavy pin. The badge originally had "C" style catch and separate retaining spring, but this badge saw long service, re-plating, and a fork catch replacement. The front of the badge reads: "POLICE" across the top and "BOSTON" along the bottom, the reverse is numbered 330.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920

SIZE: Approximately 3" x 2 ¼"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with fork catch.

MARKINGS: "330"

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Boston police collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBJX90 LCDEX2/15

CONDITION: 5+ (Fine-): Badge has seen heavy wear, pin replacement, and re-plating. Some details have rubbed down over time and much of the re-plating details remain intact.
