This is a rare 1920s "Brinks" style patrolman badge numbered 2222 for the Boston Police Department. The badge shows an arm drawing a sword at its top and reads BOSTON POLICE SICUT PATRIBUS SIT DEUS NOBIS BOSTONIA CONDITA AD 1630 CIVITATIS REGIMINE CONTATA AD 1822.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-7/8" height and 2-3/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with forked locking catch.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): The badge has some small areas of moderate wear and tarnish and one corner (by the P in POLICE) is slightly bent down.
