Rare 1920s Boston, Massachusetts "Brinks" Style Patrolman Badge

This is a rare 1920s "Brinks" style patrolman badge numbered 2222 for the Boston Police Department. The badge shows an arm drawing a sword at its top and reads BOSTON POLICE SICUT PATRIBUS SIT DEUS NOBIS BOSTONIA CONDITA AD 1630 CIVITATIS REGIMINE CONTATA AD 1822.

Circa 1920s.

Approximately 2-7/8" height and 2-3/16" width.

Nickel-plated brass.

Vertical kick pin with forked locking catch.
