ARTIFACT: This is a rare 1920s "Brinks" style patrolman badge numbered 2222 for the Boston Police Department. The badge shows an arm drawing a sword at its top and reads BOSTON POLICE SICUT PATRIBUS SIT DEUS NOBIS BOSTONIA CONDITA AD 1630 CIVITATIS REGIMINE CONTATA AD 1822.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-7/8" height and 2-3/16" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with forked locking catch.

MARKINGS: 2222

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Massachusetts police badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. RAEV92 LCDEX2/11 SCDEX12/11

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The badge has some small areas of moderate wear and tarnish and one corner (by the P in POLICE) is slightly bent down.
