ARTIFACT: Rare WWII United States Army Transportation Corps Officer overseas cap badge in sterling and 10K gold fill by Gemsco. The cap badge is an eagle, wings spread, and standing atop a US Shield with crossed anchors behind. The center shows an applied disc that features a ship's wheel bearing a shield with a winged wheel. The reverse reads: "GEMSCO STERLING – 1/20 10K G.F."

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 1-7/16" x 13/16"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling, 10K gold-filled, multi-piece construction

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come under locking swivel catch

MARKINGS: "GEMSCO STERLING – 1/20 10K G.F."

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBJX16 LADEX9/16

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine—Excellent): The overseas badge shows minor to moderate wear, overall very fine condition.
