ARTIFACT: This is a great pair of matching Korean War Japanese-made Distinctive Insignia (DIs) for the United States Army's 31st infantry regiment. 

Each pin shows a polar bear, an insignia chosen for the regiment's original tour of duty in Siberia just post WWI, and reads PRO PATRIA (For One's Country).

VINTAGE: Circa Korean War.

SIZE: Each: 1-1/2" in height and 1-1/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass with blue and yellow enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Pair of stick pins in each DI, with clutch backs.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJXL09 LHEX05/10

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): Pins show minimal tarnishing and light wear.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
