This is an either Japanese- or Korean-made distinctive insignia for the United States Army 17th Infantry Regiment. The DI is a blue crest showing a buffalo beneath a brick wall along with other symbols.
VINTAGE:Circa Korean War.
SIZE:1-1/8" height and 1-1/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts with plastic discs.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEX07 LDEX10/10
CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): DI shows small spots of light wear and tarnish.
