This is a circa Korean War era Japanese-made distinctive insignia for the United States Army 17th Infantry Regiment. The DI shows a buffalo beneath a fortified wall, along with other symbols.
VINTAGE:Circa Korean War.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts, one clutchback.
MARKINGS:None.
