ARTIFACT:
This is a circa Korean War era Japanese-made distinctive insignia for the United States Army 17th Infantry Regiment by Wellington. The DI shows a buffalo beneath a fortified wall, along with other symbols.
VINTAGE:
Circa Korean War.
SIZE:
Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1-1/16" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Plated brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:
Two posts.
MARKINGS:
WELLINGTON BOX 1064 TOKYO JAPAN TM symbol.
