This is a great early (1889!) parade ribbon for the Excelsior Hose Company of Belvidere, New Jersey at Easton, Pennsylvania. The red and white ribbon has two tiers of gold bullion fringe and was made by C.S. Martindell of Philadelphia.
VINTAGE:Circa 1891.
SIZE:Approximately 7-3/4" in height and 2-5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silk, gold bullion thread fringe, gilt brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety pin on bar.
MARKINGS:C.S. MARTINDELL BADGES 809 Spring Garden St. Philadelphia paper manufacturer tag.
