Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a great early Goodwill Fire Company No. 1 of Belvidere, New Jersey ribbon for the centennial parade on May 5, 1890 at Easton, Pennsylvania. The red and ivory ribbon has two tiers of gold bullion fringe. It was made by C.S. Martindell of Philadelphia and has a nice paper manufacturer label on reverse.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1890.

SIZE:

Approximately 7-1/4" in height and 2-3/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Silk, gold bullion thread fringe, gilt brass, paper tag.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal safety pin on bar.

MARKINGS:

C.S. MARTINDELL, BADGES 140 S. 8th St. Phila. paper manufacturer tag.
