ARTIFACT: This is a great circa 1890's GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) Captain Henry Post No. 97 parade ribbon for the Goodwill Fire Company No. 1 of Belvidere, New Jersey. The cream ribbon has wonderful graphics of a horse-drawn steam fire engine and is embroidered in gold metallic thread.

VINTAGE: Circa 1890's.

SIZE: Approximately 7" in height and 2-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silk, metallic thread.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a fire and rescue collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay MEX12 LAGEX7/13 SLAAEX9/16

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The ribbon is has some moderate wear and areas of light staining to the reverse.
