Description
This is a mint circa 1890's Goodwill Fire Company No. 1 of Belvidere, New Jersey funerary procession memorial ribbon. The black ribbon has a silver bullion tassel at the bottom. It was made by Edward H. Schlechter of Allentown, Pennsylvania and has a nice paper manufacturer label on reverse.
VINTAGE:Circa 1890's.
SIZE:Approximately 9-1/2" in height and 2-5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silk, silver bullion tassel, plated brass, paper tag.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety pin on bar.
MARKINGS:EDWARD H. SCHLECHTER 540 Hamilton St., Allentown, Pa. paper manufacturer tag.
