Description
This is a great early Goodwill Fire Company No. 1 of Belvidere, New Jersey ribbon for the firemen's parade on October 4, 1890 at Phillipsburg, New Jersey. The blue and ivory colored ribbon has two tiers of gold bullion fringe. It was made by C.S. Martindell of Philadelphia and has a nice paper manufacturer label on reverse.
VINTAGE:Circa 1891.
SIZE:Approximately 7-1/2" in height x 2-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silk, gold bullion thread fringe, gilt brass, paper tag.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety pin on bar.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The ribbon has little wear and only some faint aging to the reverse.
