Description
This is a minty 1904 Goodwill Fire Co. No. 1 of Belvidere, New Jersey parade/muster ribbon from Flemington, New Jersey. The blue ribbon has a nice painted metal cut-out medallion showing fire equipment. It was made by Edward H. Schlechter of Allentown, Pennsylvania, and has a manufacturer tag on reverse.
VINTAGE:Circa 1904.
SIZE:Approximately 6-7/8" in height and 2-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silk, plated brass, plated brass with painted areas, celluloid, paper.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin on bar.
MARKINGS:Edward H. Schlechter, 540 Hamilton St, Allentown, Pa, Manufacturer of Ribbon, Metal and Celluloid Badges & Buttons (union mark).
