Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a nice circa late 1960s patch for the United States Navy Fleet Composite Squadron 10 (Flecompron 10/VC-10), aka "Crusaders". The squadron served at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and flew Vought F-8 Crusaders until deactivation in 196The patch is Japanese-made by Ace Novelty and still has its original manufacturer's tag. The patch shows a purple shield bearing a white cross at its center.

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1960s.

SIZE:

Approximately 3-15/16" in height and 4-1/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester thread.

MARKINGS:

Ace Novelty Box 1374 Tokyo Japan label on reverse.
