This is an unofficial circa mid-1960s United States Navy Destroyer Squadron 1 (DesRon 1) jacket patch. The patch is Japanese-made and is shaped like a first place ribbon.
VINTAGE:Circa mid-1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 5-1/4" in height and 3-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester thread, muslin backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a 1960s United States Navy jacket patch collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VAJX14 LDIX5/14
CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The patch has very little wear and some light staining on the reverse only.
