Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa late 1960s patch for the United States Navy Strike Fighter Squadron 143 (VFA-143), aka "Pukin' Dogs". The squadron was established July 20, 1950, and participated in the Vietnam War and flew F-4 Phantoms. The patch is Japanese-made and shows a winged dog at center. There is an attached rocker at bottom that reads Sans Reproache (Without reproach).

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1960s.

SIZE:

Approximately 6-1/2" in height and 4-5/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester thread, muslin backing.
