Description
This is a fantastic and huge Korean War jacket patch for the United States Navy VA-195 (Strike Fighter Squadron 195), as worn aboard the USS Princeton (CV/CVA-37). Originally nicknamed the "Tigers" and later known as the "Dambusters", VA-195 came out of their retirement from World War II flying support missions for the Marines into North Korea, serving aboard the Princeton from 1951 through 195The squadron later upgraded to performing air strikes. The patch is Japanese-made and shows a tiger and a multi-colored tropical bird riding a red missile. We have one other patch for sale separately that was also worn aboard the USS Princeton during the Korean War and came to us along with this patch (please see link at bottom of page for information).
