Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa early 1970s jacket patch for the United States Navy Attack Squadron 52 (VA-52). This squadron flew Grumman A-6 Intruders. The patch shows a knight in full armor carrying a mace and riding a sea turtle.

VINTAGE:

Circa early 1970s.

SIZE:

Approximately 4-7/8" in height and 4-1/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads, partial muslin backing.

ATTACHMENT:

None.
