Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa late 1960s jacket patch for the United States Air Force 389th Tactical Fighter Squadron (389th TFS), which served in Southeast Vietnam from March 1966 until October 197The 389th carried out several air offensives and was stationed at three different bases during its tenure, including DaNang AFB. The patch is Japanese-made and fully embroidered. It shows a winged figure with a lightning bolt body transporting a missile.

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1960s (Vietnam War).

SIZE:

Approximately 4-1/4" in height and 3-7/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
