This is a circa late 1960s jacket patch for the United States Air Force 494th Tactical Fighter Squadron (512th TFS). From 1960 until 1972, the squadron worked in conjunction with NATO and USAFE and flew F-100 aircraft. The fully embroidered patch is Japanese-made and features a black panther.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 3-7/8" in height and 3-5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered cotton/polyester threads, coated backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:None.
