ARTIFACT:

This is a distinctive insignia for an unidentified United States Engineer Battalion. The DI shows three rows of red spearheads with wavy edges against a silver background.

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1950s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/16" in height 1" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Two posts (original clutch back pins broke off and the backing from a collar disc was soldered on).

MARKINGS:

None.

ITEM NOTES:

This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAL90 LABX10/11

CONDITION:

7- (Very Fine-): The DI shows some light abrasions, a small chip in the enamel; original clutch back pins broke off and the backing from a collar disc was soldered on.
