ARTIFACT:

This is a 1950s distinctive insignia for the United States 1st Engineer Battalion by Meyer. The DI shows an anchor with two crossed oars flanked by two crescents, and also a fleur-de-lis and a lion rampant divided by a diagonal red bend.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1950s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/8" in height 1" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS:

None.

CONDITION:

7+ (Very Fine+): The DI shows some light wear and has a few minor chips to the enamel.
