This is a submarine patch for the United States Navy's USS Wahoo SS-565, the second submarine of this name, the first USS Wahoo being wrecked in the Pacific. The patch shows a Native American about to shoot a missile from his bow instead of an arrow. The patch reads U.S.S. WAHOO SS 565.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1950s.
SIZE:4-1/4" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully-embroidered patch in multi-colored silk/cotton threads with a muslin backing.
