Japanese-Made Submarine Patch for US Navy USS Salmon SS-573

This is a Japanese-made submarine patch for the United States Navy's USS Salmon SS-57The patch shows a salmon outfitted as a submarine leaping past missiles. The patch reads USS SALMON SS 573.

Circa early 1950s.

3-7/8" diameter.

Fully-embroidered patch in multi-colored silk/cotton threads.
