Description
Early WWII British War Relief Society (BWRS) match box cover in etched, painted brass. This example bears a coat of arms on one side which reads: "DIEU ET MON DROIT" and is topped with a royal crown, with a red, white, and blue banner behind. The reverse reads: "THE BRITISH WAR RELIEF SOCIETY" in red and blue bars and the 'binding' of the cover reads: "THERE'LL ALWAYS BE AN ENGLAND" in etched detail.
