ARTIFACT: This is a great early to mid-1960s presentation lighter for the Flying Tiger Line, which began in 1945 as the first commercial air cargo company in the US and was later a military charter outfit until 1989. The lighter is a Zippo-type made by Zeus is Japan. There is an applied enameled logo on the front of the lighter showing a T at the center of a camera shutter-like design (3rd issue, Type I logo design).

VINTAGE: Circa early-mid 1960s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/16" in height and 1-1/2" in width and 1/2" in thickness

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Chrome-plated case and insert, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Hinge.

MARKINGS: Rogersline Zeus Item 244 Japan.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a lighter collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VLEX05 LAGEX6/13 SAGEX10/14

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The lighter has some small spots of wear; some bits of the enameled lettering is missing.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
