Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a very rare and extremely cool circa early to mid-1960s cigarette lighter factory-engraved for Pan Am Saigon. During the Vietnam War, Pan Am airlifted cargo for the military as well as flew many GIs to various spots in Asia for their R&R breaks. This "Zippo-style" lighter was made in Japan by Penguin. It has barely been used and is in excellent condition.

VINTAGE:

Circa early to mid-1960s.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-1/4" in height and 1-1/2" in width and " in thickness

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Chrome-plated brass with factory engraving, chrome-plated brass insert.

ATTACHMENT:

Hinge.

MARKINGS:

HIGH QUALITY LIGHTER "Penguin" NO. 19531 JAPAN.
