Description
This is a sterling silver Flying Tiger Line pilot wing 3rd issue, type I by Balfour from the early 1960s. Flying Tiger began in 1945 as the first commercial air cargo company in the US and was later a military charter outfit until 198The logo at the wing's center is a wheel with a capital T at the center. The "T" consists of an arrow and two small triangles, all surrounded by a circular border similar to a camera shutter.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 5/8" in height and 3-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
