Description
Early, 1880's - 1890's Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) member lapel stud. The front shows two soldiers shaking hands, one has a flag and eagle behind him and the other a flag and fascia, while a woman and child kneel facing them in intricate relief detail. The outer edge of the lapel stud reads: "GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC 1861 - VETERAN - 1866" in embossed lettering and the reverse shows a campfire scene.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The lapel stud shows minor to moderate wear, small areas of verdigris, overall excellent condition with a handsome patina.
