Minty Numbered Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) Member Badge / Medal

This is a minty and numbered Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) member badge / medal with a ribbon in the design and colors of the American flag. The badge has a decorative eagle bar at top and its medallion is a five-pointed star. The back of the medallion shows an interesting design of all the Army Corps symbols radiating out from a crest with stars and stripes.

Circa 1886.

3-1/16" height and 1-13/16" width.

Gold-plated brass and red, white and blue silk ribbon.

Horizontal pin with "C" catch.

PAT. MAY 4, 1886 JUNE 22, 1886 and pot hanging over a fire emblem on reverse of medallion; F30258 on edge of star.
