Description
This is a circa early 20th century gold-filled nurse graduation pin from Peabody Hospital in Webster, South Dakota. Peabody Hospital opened in 1905 and then the Peabody Hospital School of Nursing, an affiliate, opened eight years later. The pin is engraved on reverse with the graduate's initials and shows an enameled red cross at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa early 20th century.
SIZE:Approximately 1" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:EE engraved on reverse.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The pin shows some small areas of light wear and tarnish and a small piece of enamel is missing.
