1916 "C L" (???) Hospital Nursing Graduation Pin Gold

This beautiful nursing pin is made of 9K gold and is in the shape of a cross, the entire face of which is filled with enamel. In the center of the pin is a blue cross. In the arms are the letters L C H and the date '16 is at the bottom. I do not know the name of the hospital, or even in which direction the letters are to be read; is it L C Hospital, or C L Hospital?. The pin is un-named.
