ARTIFACT: This beautiful nursing pin is made of 9K gold and is in the shape of a cross, the entire face of which is filled with enamel. In the center of the pin is a blue cross. In the arms are the letters L C H and the date '16 is at the bottom. I do not know the name of the hospital, or even in which direction the letters are to be read; is it L C Hospital, or C L Hospital?. The pin is un-named.

VINTAGE: Circa 1916.

SIZE: 24 mm by 24 mm.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: 9k Gold.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin-back with "drop in" style locking catch.

MARKINGS: GOLD.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an accumulation of Nursing pins I have found across the country in my travels this past couple of years. WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE WHO KNOWS WHICH INSTITUTION THIS PIN IS FROM! VAJJX6/08

CONDITION: 6 (Very Good): Moderate wear and age tarnishing. Cracks in enamel and a small chip out at top. chip does not go through to the metal.
