ARTIFACT:
This beautiful nursing pin is in 10 karat gold and is in the shape of a Maltese cross with a circle at center. In the circle is a white disk with the letters WTS FOR N. Around the circle it reads TRAINED NURSE 1916. I do not know where the "WT" School for Nurses is/was located. The pin is engraved on the back with the name of the original recipient: Mary Kirk.

Circa 1916.
SIZE:
Approximately 1-1/16" in width by 1-1/16" in height.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
10 karat gold with blue, white, and black enameling.
ATTACHMENT:
Horizontal pin-back with "drop in" style locking catch.

This is from an accumulation of nursing pins I have found across the country in my travels this past couple of years. VDEX02 LAEJX SLBDEX1/12 SBDEX8/12

7 (Very Fine): The pin shows minor wear and tarnish and some light crazing to the enameled center.
