ARTIFACT:

This is an early 1950s stewardess half wing for Flota Aerea Mercante Argentina, established in 1946 under President Peron. FAMA was the first airline in Argentina that wasn't controlled by a foreign company. The wing shows a lovely red and blue embroidered globe at its center.

VINTAGE:

Circa early 1950s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 2-3/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool felt embroidered with bullion and cotton/silk threads with paper backing.
