This is an early 1940s distinctive insignia for the United States 265th Coast Artillery Regiment by Meyer. The DI shows a golden cactus over a fleur-de-lis.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1940s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height 15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK with engraved maker's mark.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The DI shows some light wear; pin is slightly bent and someone wrote on the back.
