ARTIFACT: This is a 1940s distinctive insignia for the United States Army 9th Coast Artillery Regiment. The DI is shaped like a Viking helmet and shows a ship at its center.

VINTAGE: Circa 1940s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAL90 LBJX12/11 SBJX3/13

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The DI shows some small areas of moderate wear and discoloration to the enamel, with light tarnish and minor oxidization.
