ARTIFACT: This is a 1920s distinctive insignia for the United States Army 9th Coast Artillery Regiment. The DI is shaped like a Viking helmet and shows a ship at its center and has an early tongue-style catch.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/16" in height 13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with tongue-style C catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAX95 LBDX12/11 hldSBDX6/17

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows some light wear and tarnishing.
