1920s US Army 9th Coast Artillery Regiment DI

This is a 1920s distinctive insignia for the United States Army 9th Coast Artillery Regiment. The DI is shaped like a Viking helmet and shows a ship at its center and has an early tongue-style catch.

Circa 1920s.

Approximately 1-1/16" in height 13/16" in width.

Plated brass with enamel.

Vertical pin with tongue-style C catch.
