This is a 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States Army 9th Coast Artillery Regiment. The DI is shaped like a Viking helmet and shows a ship at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing, two stabilization teeth.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VBX95 LBJX12/11 SBDX3/13
CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The DI shows some small areas of light wear on reverse only.
