ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States Army 9th Coastal Artillery Regiment, Harbor Detachment of Boston. The DI is by Wallbank Company and is a red crest bearing a ship with two golden horns at its top.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking catch.
MARKINGS:WALLBANK CO.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LCHX2/11 SCHX09/22
CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The insignia shows some light wear and tarnish only.
