Description
This is a 1930s World War II distinctive insignia for the United States 102nd Field Artillery Regiment. The DI shows a blue and gold chevron separating a fleur-de-lis from two towers and reads SIC ITUR AD ASTRA (this is the way to the stars).
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/16" in height 1-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:The DI you receive will either be this one or one in very similar condition. This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months R/AM92 LBDX10/11
CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows only some light wear and tarnish and has a spot of discoloration on the reverse.
